Las year's NJ Flower Show was held at the NJ Convention Center in Edison. The show theme was "From Sea to Shining Sea." Our own Helga Fontus was a recipient of a Blue Ribbon in one of the table design classes! Below is a picture of her design. Congratulations Helga!!

Although our Fall Flower Show 2012 has been over for almost two years, we will maintain this information on our website until the next one. It may serve as inspiration for our next show!
Over 270 ribbons were award in Horticulture, Design and Special Exhibits. Thanks to all that worked at the show, exhibited or attended. Please check out the pictures of the show below and the Book of Evidence that was sent in for a GCNJ award - this is a pdf file and it can be accessed below. This book contains many pictures of the show, including all of the award winnners, some staging, many pictures of the individuals sections, all of the design and artistic crafts as well as many other interesting pictures of the show. Here are some of the top winners: HORTICULTURE AWARDS: Award of Horticulture Excellence & Millija Lovett Award - Maggie Kramer; Awards of Merit - Carol Bozarth, Joyce Russell, Anna Adomaitis, and two for Dianne Dickinson; Grower's Choice Awards - June Rosso and two for Anne Chmielewski; Arboreal Awards - Dianne Dickinson and Anne Chmielewski. DESIGN AWARDS:Award ofDesign Excellence & Table Artistry - Helga Fontus; Mari Epley Award - Coleen Harrison. SPECIAL EXHIBIT AWARDS: Educational Top Exhibitor Award and the Audrey Harker Award - Grace Starrett, Linda Reasoner and Anne Chmiewlewski (for the display on our Garden Club); Artistic Crafts Award & WTGC Special Award (for Artistic Crafts) - Grace Starrett; WTGC Special Award (for Photography) - Pat Bowker; Youth Top Exhibitor Award - Tristen Graf. Awards of Appreciation were also given to Buxon's Garden Center for "Fall Festival", Ewing Independent Living for "Golden Years" and Ed Birdstall and the students of Sypek Center Mercer County Technical Schools for "Homecoming Game." Also Dianne Dickinson took away the NGC Sweepstakes Award!
