Highlights from the March 2026 WTGC Meeting

At our March 2, 2026 general meeting, six West Trenton Garden Club members took us on a delightful tour of their gardens by sharing their favorite plants.
Each presenter chose one or two plants that bring them joy — explaining why they love it, how they grow it, and what makes it special. The selections ranged from timeless classics like roses and lilacs to bold statement plants like ornamental alliums, clematis, hydrangeas, crepe myrtle, calla lilies, and colorful container combinations.
Members shared growing tips, stories from their own gardens, and a few fascinating botanical facts along the way. We learned about fragrant heirloom varieties, plants that change color depending on soil chemistry, deer-resistant favorites, and creative ways to layer height and texture in garden beds.
The evening was a wonderful reminder that gardening is deeply personal. Every plant has a story, and every gardener brings something unique to the landscape.
