Scholarships

The West Trenton Garden Club (WTGC) is proud to offer annual scholarships to support students residing in Mercer County who plan to pursue higher education in horticulture, environmental science, landscape design, or related fields. This scholarship encourages future leaders who are passionate about the natural world and civic beautification.

 

Eligible applicants include high school seniors, college students, and graduate students entering fields such as horticulture, botany, agronomy, floriculture, plant pathology, city planning, land management, and other related sciences.

 

To apply, students must submit the following documents:

• The completed application form

• A personal letter (300 words or less) explaining their goals, background, commitment to their chosen field, and financial need

• A list of extracurricular activities and/or honors

• One letter of recommendation covering academic achievements, character, and work-related experience

• An official transcript

High school applicants must also include proof of college acceptance.

The recipients for the 2024 WTGC Scholarship Awards, a total of $6,000 awards given: 

• Nicholas A. Benedetti - Ewing High School ($2,000)

• William Alan Chausse - Ewing High School ($2,000)

• Amber Rose Dewitt - Steinert High School ($1,000)

• Anthony J. Durling - Steinert High School ($500)

• Sophia Jaelyn Grier - Ewing High School ($500)
